Buduji se on your home screen
Buduji se is a web app. Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app: its own icon, no browser bar, and it works offline. Nothing to download from a store and nothing to pay.
iPhone and iPad
- Open app.buduji.se in Safari.
- Tap Share (the square with an arrow pointing up), at the bottom on iPhone, at the top on iPad.
- Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The Buduji se icon is on your home screen.
In Chrome on iPhone, Share is on the right of the address bar; the rest is the same.
Do it right at the start. On iPhone the home-screen app has its own storage, so what you write in Safari won’t show up in it. Safari may also clear the data of a site you haven’t opened for a while; the home-screen app is exempt.
Android
The app from Zapstore does more than the web: it reads your sleep from Health Connect, reminds you of the evening entry and has a home-screen widget. Get it from Zapstore, an independent app store outside Google Play.
The web app on your home screen works too:
- Open app.buduji.se in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots at the top right.
- Choose Add to home screen or Install app and confirm.
Sometimes Chrome offers it by itself, in a bar at the bottom of the screen.
Computer
- Chrome and Edge: click the install icon on the right of the address bar (a monitor with an arrow) and confirm Install.
- Safari on a Mac: in the File menu, choose Add to Dock.
- Firefox can’t install web apps. A bookmark to app.buduji.se does the job.
Where are my entries?
Without an account your entries stay on the device and in the browser where you write them. On Android and on a computer the home-screen app shares its data with the browser. The Zapstore app and the iPhone home-screen app each keep their own. To have the same diary everywhere, sign in under Settings in the app and turn on sync.
